O'Reilly on Media Matters: "Any of the presidential candidates who can deport those swine -- I'm voting for them"

Summary: On his radio program, Bill O'Reilly called the "people" at Media Matters for America "the worst Americans in the country" and stated, "If I could, I would deport them." O'Reilly also asserted: "But this Media Matters, this disgusting, despicable, far-left website, they do it all the time. And MoveOn and all these people, that's what they do. They disagree with you, and they brand you a racist."

actually i don't think billy was accused of racism in the restaurant incident as much as he was accused of being clueless.  i know that was my take.

Posted by socal7425 in reply to mefirst

Well at least he ADMITS he's an idiot..I'll give him credit for that.  Poor old Bill says he wants to "deport" Media Matters.  Now THAT"S funny!

Posted by ufleirx

Do you fell like we are being unfair to you Bill-O?

Good then we are doing our job.

Posted by carlileb5935 in reply to ufleirx

I love how O'Reilly has been confusing MMFA with every other group he hates, or how he always conflates it with Kos.

Lately, he's been bashing these 'hate groups' for bashing Hillary-- but he doesn't seem to know that MMFA has been very fair to her-- they are hardly in the same category..

yet, he continues.....

"I love how O'Reilly has been confusing MMFA with every other group he hates, or how he always conflates it with Kos."

It's kinda like the way you confuse Obama supporters for idiots, so yeah I can see what your saying.

Posted by carlileb5935 in reply to roundhouse

Say what? Does BOR not conflate the two? What's your point?

Problem is, O'Reilly indeed confuses MMFA with the Daily KOS. And many Obama supporters are-- as displayed right here, right above me now-- obvious idiots. Why? They make no sense.

Posted by roundhouse in reply to carlileb5935

No the difference is that O'Reilly intentionally puts all leftwing blogs in the same category . He's not confused. Kinda like the way you're not confused, you're simply wedded to the belief that you could not possibly be wrong.

Posted by edenscape246494 in reply to roundhouse

On point Round, good call

Posted by greatjob in reply to roundhouse

So is he an idiot or is he a nefarious genius out to besmirch your good names?

Posted by roundhouse in reply to greatjob

What's the difference? he still the same old liar he's always been.

Posted by solon in reply to greatjob

He is an idiot out to besmirch our good names. Hope that clears up the confusion for ya

Even better - let's ship Bill O'reilly over to North Korea, where he can help Kim Jon Il shape public opinion.  They seem made for each other......

I love when I catch BilldO's show and he's talking about MMFA. He looks so frustrated, knowing that he can't cite anything specific against the site, and everything he's saying is going to be added to his stoopid list.

Yet he can't stop himself.

Posted by worrierking in reply to Col. Harlan Sanders

To me you sound like one of those far-left loons.

Posted by carlileb5935 in reply to worrierking

What do they sound like, specifically?

Posted by worrierking in reply to carlileb5935

Similar to the sound of a far-right loon, just that the sound is louder in your left ear.

-----------

I do too. He's never able to give specific examples where MM has smeared him. It's always vague comments about MM attacking him (or calling him a racist which they have not) or some other such thing. MM doesn't attack; they put up his exact words in context for people to read. I get to decide for myself what to think.

But then O'Reilly knows just how despicable and inaccurate what so much of what he says is and all he's got to respond with is to lash out in self-defense. I think he's been totally taken aback that the internet does not let him get away with saying whatever he wants without also taking responsibility for it. MM does an excellent job of recording his words and O'Reilly can't handle it.

Posted by mr. l

LOL- O'Reilly says he WON"T talk to blacks he doesn't know because MMFA`broadcasted what he said in Harlem.  Who knew?  Good job, MMFA!! (Good job in the sense that O'Reilly not talking is a ggod thing)

O'REILLY: No. I want Media Matters deported.

Racist bigot.

Posted by thedailyphosdex in reply to snoopy

Deported to where, might I ask?

And aren't we forgetting the past suggestion of Mr. "No-Spin Zone" that high-school students not achieving an arbitrarily-defined pass score on civics and American history tests be shipped off to Canada (even if it means dumping busloads thereof along the 401 freeway in Ontario under cover of darkness)?

And how do we know such would not violate the Eighth Amendment's proscriptions on "cruel and unusual punishment"?

Posted by mefirst in reply to thedailyphosdex

that's the really silly part.  deportation requires that you actually be from another country.

Posted by mr. l

And what is the deal with Laura's reading/listening comprehension skills?  Does she REALLY think Obama didn't do race relation issues justice in his speech?  Really? come on, Laura- you don't have a clue, do you?

Posted by snoopy

Billdo the racist needs to spend a little more time having his nazi police review his own website. Seems racism abounds there, (as suspected) and it isn't removed when found...

Posted by MickD in reply to snoopy

Can the Fox Police Squad arrest themselves?

Posted by dbeden4153 in reply to MickD

Just one gun.

Posted by greatjob in reply to MickD

GUFFAW. Republicans ARE the Gestapo!

Billy is such a moron...

I almost feel sorry for him.  He's a complete joke.

The fact that he has a fairly large (though shrinking) audience is a perfect explanation for the state that America is in.

Posted by eweston8542983

So Bill how bout if we're made to wear blue and white stars. That way patriotic americans can properly identify who its ok to be violent with. Cut down on collateral damage maybe.Probably not. Having the ok to be violent on specific population is weird because despite the most homicidal efforts, the population of targets never seems to decrease. At least thats been the historical model so far.

Bill O'Rielly, a Grout Hamerican.

Posted by snoopy

I keep reading this, and all I can say is the right is really struggling with this one. They've been forced into the position of defending their racism, and they weren't able to frame the debate in their favor. The right was forced to come at this from the gutter and are gonna suffer big time for that!

Posted by solon

So O'falafel thinks we ought to be subject to deportation because we disagree with him, and because this site has the temerity to quote him accuratly? The man has delusions of grandeur when he cant even pull off adequacy.

Posted by worrierking

"No, I'll go up to Harlem and have a meal, but I'm not going to talk about it. And if I don't know you and you're a person of color and you ask me a question, I'm not going to answer it. I'm absolutely not going to answer it."

Bill O'Reilly, the last, best hope for racial tolerance in America.

He's just going to ignore any non-white person that speaks to him.

That's mighty white of you, Bill.

Is there any way we could disown Bill? I know this rile up Finafan or whoever he was, but Bill makes me ashamed to be white. Christ, he makes me ashamed to be human.

Posted by Col. Harlan Sanders in reply to worrierking

WK, BilldO didn't say he'd ignore the person, just that he wouldn't answer questions. He can talk for an hour without answering any questions, so this might be bizness as usual.

I caught the end of his show tonight, the email segment where he gets to deliver his pithy responses. One T-Warrior in training wrote that some loon called BilldO a racist, asking the wise one if an attempt should be made to reason with the moonbat.

"No!" said Bill, "just tell them they're making a fool of themselves, and walk away".

So it appears even BO is aware that the party's over, and his clown act is out of gas. They're cutting off all communication. It seems to be working for Grampa McCain, avoid any discussion and  the ratings go up.

I've seen some teasing and promising hints of it here, the realization that the wingnut arguments are being shot down more quickly, and a cut & run under the pretense of not wanting to engage in nasty arguments is the easy way out.

Those must be the smarter ones. I noticed CompliantConsent has suddenly become really wordy. He's the wingnut's wingnut, maybe.

Posted by Lorelei in reply to Col. Harlan Sanders

I have noticed that when the right cannot win the argument they either 1. resort to name calling or 2. run.....

Hey Bill!

It's pretty easy you lunkhead. Stop saying really idiotic stupid ignorant and sometimes racist things, and you won't be on here. No really, it's that easy. Stop lying your pants off, and you won't be on here. Stop misinforming the country, and you won't be on here. I mean, it really is THAT easy.

How is this a bad site, if what they put on here are your OWN words. So by your own assertion, you're a bad person, because you disagree with this website, and since they use your own words, well, you suck. But hey, any rational normal human being can actually see that for themselves, because you can't keep your big mouth shut, or at least not say something that is, once again, super stupid.

Poor Bill. Ingrained with the stupid...

Posted by jawill11

I know that Bill comes off as being a colossal idiot, but if he can figure out how to deport a website, I'll admit that he is a true genius.

"and these people at Media Matters -- these are the worst Americans in the country. There are no worse Americans than this. If I could, I would deport them. All right?"

F U B O.
What else do you expect from Bill'O and the rest of these right wing loons ? They can't  handle anyone that disagrees with them. They can't handle sites like MMFA that throws the truth back in their lying faces.
The sooner that people realize that Bill'O, Flush Limbaugh, Sheer Insanity, Annthrax Coulter, and others are all mouthpieces for the Bush administration and the Republican party ,the better  off we all will be. Dr Josef Gobbles would be proud of these clowns.

I'd love for Billdo to say exactly what the lies are here at MMFA.

these people at Media Matters -- these are the worst Americans in the country. There are no worse Americans than this

That should be MMFAs new slogan!

I strongly disagree with what BiiO says here - and he is a racist. LOL

He's also a hypocrite, sexist, pervert, homophobe, (that's just the short list) who HATES the fact that a website that could expose him for who he REALLY is, is even be allowed to exist.

He knows there are websites that paint him in even far worse light and with a much greater frequency (Sweet Jesus, I hate Bill O'Reilly, International, oreilly-sucks.com, and News Hounds, to name a few) but he only focuses on MMFA because they are the site that encompasses the total "big picture" of conservative misinformation - Besides the obvious reasons that he's not about to mention and expose these other sites on his own shows.

I'm not as sure about the rest, but he's definitely farm-animalist.  Calling us swine, indeed.  How adult can you get?

But I'd like to step back a bit and look at O'Reilly's charge--that MMFA has accused people of being racist.

First of all, is it true?  I doubt it, especially in the case of Alan Colmes.  Now, has MMFA pointed out when media figures make racist (or what can be readily perceived as racist) comments?  Of course.

But let's suppose it is true, that MMFA has directly accused the people on O'Reilly's little list of being racist (and good luck finding the links to those!).  Is this enough to get people deported?  Leaving aside the pesky fact that people get deported only to the country they came from (so it wouldn't work with MMFA, whose contributors are probably all Americans), it doesn't happen--or certainly shouldn't happen--when the "crime" is exercising a basic American right, that of free speech.

Furthermore, could anyone actual argue that MMFA has posted things more incendiary that O'Reilly himself has?  If MMFA is in line for deportation, what does O'Reilly deserve?

Great post.  I agree 100 percent.  He knows MediaMatters makes sense and logically calls him on the bs he so proudly represents.

This screen graphic from BillO needs a little work…

First off, change the title to “OUR RACIST GUESTS:” – then reduce the font size in the list to allow Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, et al to fit. Oh wait – if they reduced the font size enough to include everyone who belongs in the list, it would look like the print at the bottom of a Capital One Credit Card commercial.:)

DSM Criteria Narcissistic Personality

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:[1]

has a grandiose sense of self-importance

is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brillance, beauty, or ideal love

believes that he or she is "special" and unique

requires excessive admiration

has a sense of entitlement

is interpersonally exploitative

lacks empathy

is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her

shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

People who are overly narcissistic commonly feel rejected, humiliated and threatened when criticised. To protect themselves from these dangers, they often react with disdain, rage, and/or defiance to any slight criticism, real or imagined [7]. To avoid such situations, some narcissistic people withdraw socially and may feign modesty or humility.

Though individuals with NPD are often ambitious and capable, the inability to tolerate setbacks, disagreements or criticism, along with lack of empathy, make it difficult for such individuals to work cooperatively with others or to maintain long-term professional achievements [8]. With narcissistic personality disorder, the person's perceived fantastic grandiosity, often coupled with a hypomanic mood, is typically not commensurate with his or her real accomplishments.

The exploitativeness, sense of entitlement, lack of empathy, disregard for others, and constant need for attention inherent in NPD adversely affect interpersonal relationships.

Jenkins: "So reverend, do you condemn Reverend Wright's words?"

Jackson: "I'm struggling, as others are, to put the focus on the war"

What? Well, sorry pal, you were just asked if you condemn the statements by rev. wright. By the way, not if you condemn the rev. or the church or the people who attend it....simply the statements being played on the news. Any decent person should quickly condemn those particular statements. Jackson avoids, and refuses to answer, exposing himself completely to be what we all know he is: a race-hustler, a racketeer, and a fraud.

Listen, if brother Bill says he is not a racist then that is a fact, ok? Deal with it. Who are you going to believe, Bill or your lying ears (or eyes)?
Look at the last  O'Reilly portion of this piece (where he begins "All right, now...").  He calls Alan Colmes conservative!!  Media Matters is right: this man is a source of misinformation.

Posted by solon in reply to interestingobserver

True enough Colmes is not a conservative. A designate whipping boy yes. Conservative no. Colmes is fairly moderate but moderate left not moderate right.

Posted by interestingobserver in reply to solon

So then why didn't Media Matters call him out on this piece of misinformation?  Had he listed a group of liberals and threw in "Joe Scarborough" or "Tucker Carlson" in there, it would have been a whole 'nother ball game for Media Matters now wouldn't it have?
