Hannity compared carbon offsets to "cheat[ing] on your wife," ignored Murdoch's efforts to make News Corp. carbon neutral
Summary: On Hannity & Colmes, Sean Hannity criticized the purchase of credits to offset one's "carbon footprint," asserting, "Those offsets -- that is the biggest hoax in the world. ... You know what it's like? You go cheat on your wife, and then say, 'Honey, but don't worry. I bought an offset.' Good luck." Hannity has yet to address the pledge by News Corp. chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch "to be carbon neutral, across all our businesses" -- which includes Fox News -- "by 2010."

Gore has made his combo home-office much more energy-efficient. Those updates/upgrades were just finished last fall, so the full year's comparison isnt available yet, but it looks to me like he has cut his overall energy bill by a large amount.
No fair-minded person says that you or anyone else must limit yourself to any certain amount of energy. What we all should do is try not to waste energy, do what we can to carefully use what we do use, and try to minimize the effect we have on the world.
If you need a big car, buy it, but don't waste gas. If you can afford a boat, buy one, but be conscious of the energy you use and consider offsetting that energy usage in some other way to help the environment and the rest of the 6 billion people you share the world with.
If Al Gore can afford a big house/office combo, then he's entitled to it, but he should be energy wise. He's demonstrated that he is. People who claim that he should not be able to enjoy his wealth while being energy-wise are mean-spirited jerks.
Carbon offsets aren't like indulgences for cheating on your spouse. They're much more comparable to having the good luck to be born and raised in the good old USA and therefore being generous to nations less fortunate than us. We have more and we use more energy than almost anybody, and so we have more of an obligation to help the world not suffer too much from our energy usage. Gore uses a lot of energy compared to many people, even though he's done a lot to cut down on his usage. He 'pays' for that above-average usage by buying energy credits.

can hannity get a brain offset? he's already logic neutral.
He would need to get a brain first before he could get it offset.
(And in case Hannity or someone in his employ is monitoring MMFA, I have a special message from me to Sean Hannity.
Sean? Bite me!!!) :-)

I wouldn't be surprised if Hannity does that, given that he's one of those self-righteous pompous sanctimonious conservatives who like to lecture about morals.
Actually, back during the Lewinsky days, when Hannity was just a local talk-radio host in the New York/New Jersey area, and he was going on and on about Clinton cheating on his wife, there was another radio host on the same station who said that he was disgusted with the self-righteous criticism of Clinton and said that there was a conservative radio host critical of Clinton who was engaging in adultery himself. At the time, the conservatives on that radio station were Bob Grant, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity.
It couldn't have been Bob Grant, even back then he was about 100 years old, and it probably wasn't Limbaugh, considering there are questions about whether or not he is even straight and if he would have done something like that it probably would have been exposed right away because even back then he was a prime target, so that leaves us with Hannity. He's the youngest, back then he would have only been in his thirties, there are no questions about whether he's straight, and he was relatively unknown back then so there wouldn't have been much media following him around and tracking his personal life for hypocrisy.
Maybe it wasn't, but I wouldn't be surprised. I've always felt that there's something curious about why nothing about personal was there to expose him other than some hijinks he did in his college days before he dropped out of college eventually. Maybe there is nothing and I hope there isn't, but you wonder who that radio host was talking about.
THANK YOU.

Good call. I think a write-in campaign to Hannityville should get an answer concerning his cheating on his wife. I wonder if the temptress was a Great American or did she have to call him a Great American?
I used to ask God to bless all the hypocrites but there are too many now that the Omnipotent One doesn't have time.

But the man has an audience.
And when they're not listening to Bob Grant, they listen to either Mark Rotten Levin or Michael Weiner. While they're ironing their sheets in preparation for their next cross-burning.

"Are Liberals happy that gas prices are so high?"
Does anyone still believe Fox News is actually fair and balanced?

No FOX news is a lost cause.

ARE LIBERALS HAPPY THAT GAS PRICES ARE SO HIGH?
Look at the message on the bottom of the screen. When I saw this live the other night I went nuts... FOX often does this kind of thing, running a written message at the bottom of the screen that amounts to a push poll. Although, totally irrelevant to the discussion, how many FOX viewers now have the false impression that liberals are happy about high gas prices?
