CNN's Situation Room aired McCain's ad attacking Obama, but ignored McCain's own record on issues highlighted in ad

Summary: On CNN's The Situation Room, Dana Bash uncritically aired an ad by Sen. John McCain that states that Sen. Barack Obama "never held a single Senate hearing on Afghanistan. He hasn't been to Iraq in years. He voted against funding our troops -- positions that helped him win his nomination." Neither Bash nor host Wolf Blitzer noted that McCain himself "voted against funding our troops" when he voted against legislation that would have provided funds for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

And the narrative for the coming week is that if Obama as much as sneezes during his foreign trip, McCain wins.

How more clear can these examples be that the media is clearly in the McCain camp in this election?

Same story on Lehrer News Hour.

Why do they have two "conservatives" (David Brooks and Ruth Marcus) on to both attack Obama and cover for McCain?

Ruth Marcus (and David Brooks and the host) followed the Karl Rove talking points by uncritically accepting the deceptive claims of the McCain ad, while failing to point out how McCain's performance is worse.

*******CNN is In The Business Of "SwiffBoating" Obama, fueling Right Wing talking points constantly....!!!

I NOTICE THAT CNN's The Situation Room, Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer on many occasion basically try to slickly "SWIFFBOAT" Obama pushing inaccurate "Right Wing" propaganda such as the "Refine" comment Obama made about is intentions with regards to Iraq and the Jessie Jackson distraction! They did it with "Bitter Gate" aswell!!

These get more play than PHIL GRAMMS MENTAL RECESSION, WINERS Comments. MENTAL and Psycological are ALL WORDS THAT McCAIN Uses Recently To Describe Our Economy and NOT BODY AT CNN CALL OUT MCBUSH on using PHIL GRAMM talking Points!!!

"Barack Obama voted against funding our troops"

Uh, no. He voted against WAR funding. Our troops will always receive a Bill Gates budget.

The "Liberal Media" stikes again. (LOL)

CNN in my experience is known for its conservative bias. I lived in Asia for two years and still remember CNN highlighting the Terri Schiavo contraversy whenever I flipped to the channel. Not only was this a personal tragedy that received no benefit from the mainstream media explosion around it, but there were many additional newsworthy events that I had to go elsewhere to read about such as, for example, the war in Iraq. CNN could use a few more liberal reporters to offset its current conservatism.
